Ever hear of Freediving? You might have seen some some recent documentaries on Netflix about it or perhaps even watched “The Big Blue” back in the day. It’s an incredible sport that consists of diving with only a single breath. Sounds scary, sounds challenging but with the proper training and dedication, it can be done. Freediving isn’t anything new, people have been doing it for millennia by spearfishing, sponge harvesting and for military purposes.
Modern competitive freediving isn’t new either. In fact, it’s been around for roughly 30+ years with internationally regulated events and records. You might be surprised to learn that our Chief Buzznerd, Jerry Van Galder, is a competitive freediver and recently made the 2025 US Freediving Team!

Also, Jerry also recently broke 3 Masters (M1) Continental Records effectively bringing all of the North American Continental
M1 records back in the hands of the United States. With M1 World Record goals in sight, he and Team USA needs your help.
